I’m really digging Take Off Your Pants and Jacket by blink 182. There are some great tracks on this album.
I also just received Borders & Boundaries and am thrilled that it is another excellent release from Less Than Jake.
reckless abandon – blink 182
On and on, reckless abandon
Something’s wrong
This is gonna shock them
Nothing to hold on to
We’ll use this song to lead you onI learned a lot today
Not sure if I’ll get laid and
Not sure if I’ll fail or pass
Kissed every girl in classEverybody would waste it all
To have a summer that they could call
A memory that’s full of fun
Fucked up when it’s all doneOn and on, reckless abandon
Something’s wrong
This is gonna shock them
Nothing to hold on to
We’ll use this song to lead you on
And break the truth with more bad news
We left a scar size extra largeSip a drink of the alcohol
End up kneeling in bathroom stalls
Eyes are red and my movements slow
Too high, got vertigoHe took a shit in the bathroom tub
And fed the dog the brownie drugs
Tried hard not to get caught
He fucked a chick in a parking lotOn and on, reckless abandon
Something’s wrong
This is gonna shock them
Nothing to hold on to
We’ll use this song to lead you on
And break the truth with more bad news
We left a scar size extra largeBreak a window and bust a wall
Making fun of your friend’s mom
Turn the music up way too loud
Charge the pizza to the houseEverybody would waste it all
To have a summer that they could call
Memory that’s full of fun
Fucked up when it’s all doneOn and on, reckless abandon
Something’s wrong
This is gonna shock them
Nothing to hold on to
We’ll use this song to lead you on
And break the truth with more bad news
We left a scar size extra large
Hell Looks A Lot Like L.A. – Less Than Jake
He got in his car and told himself to drive
gotta leave it all behind if he wants to feel alive
19 and lost and never thought he’d ever leave this place
vacant mind from endless grind so what’s to lose anyways
Another fast food job?
Another 8 to 5 day?
Ten minutes and two miles is just a mile too many today
and you can see why it’s easy to say
y’know that hell looks a lot like L.A.
six months ago was the last she felt alive
moved down from the north and told herself she’d try
18 and lost and never thought this place would change
ignored and bored the same feelings as yesterday
she said it’s way too much more than she could take
it’s one less car that’s in the way
y’know that hell looks a lot like L.A.
