Communication breakdown, baby. It’s always the same. What do we have here at davidgagne.net?

  • davidgagne.net: This page. The main page. This is where I pontificate. This is where I link to interesting things on the web. This is what’s happening.
  • OceanBlog: The OB. That’s where my friends post. Anyone can post there. That’s where I post things that I think are pretty nifty, but I don’t feel like putting here on my main site.
  • GatorBlog: This is where I talk about the Gators, college football, and sports in general. The GatorBlog is also a group blog – anyone can post there. The GatorBlog is fairly new and is still being developed. I’ll soon add a football pool for fun.
  • SotM: The Song of the Moment page. That’s where I blog mp3s for your enjoyment. I try to get a new song uploaded every day. The catch is that you have to download it and listen to learn what it is. Whenever I post a new song I tell you what the previous one was. My tastes are pretty random, so you never know what song will be there. You can cruise through the archives to see what sort of songs I’ve had posted. Sometimes I tell you what prompted me to post a song, but usually they’re just there and you’ll have to decide on your own why that song made it.
  • The Archives: Here you can find links to all the old stuff. Duh.
  • Blog Dictionary: My humble collection of terms and acronyms found on blogs ’round the ‘net
  • Featurette Guide: I tried at one point to find all the featurettes in Bloggerville. Here’s my list.

You can get to all these places through the links in the menu at the top of each page. There are also links to my image collection, my old Hemingway site, and my smattering of old essays and writings from college.

What Is This?

davidgagne.net is the personal weblog of me, David Vincent Gagne. I've been publishing here since 1999, which makes this one of the oldest continuously-updated websites on the Internet.

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.

Hemingway

You can read dozens of essays and articles and find hundreds of links to other sites with stories and information about Ernest Hemingway in The Hemingway Collection.
