davidgagne.net is the personal weblog of me, David Vincent Gagne. I've been publishing here since 1999, which makes this one of the oldest continuously-updated websites on the Internet.
A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
You can read dozens of essays and articles and find hundreds of links to other sites with stories and information about Ernest Hemingway in The Hemingway Collection.
Unfortunately the Random Entries tutorial doesn’t appear to be linking properly, it just shows the support forum, not an individual article.
Also a question that was posted on the support forum, but perhaps you can help?:
I’ve just converted from Livejournal to MT, but I’m stuck on a minor problem:
I wish to upload a picture with each entry, but I want that picture to be a hyperlink back to the original article as per my previous site Technology Log
I’m currently trying to do this with Ecto, which will allow me to upload the image, and even make a thumbnail of it (is there a way to resize it to max 120 pixels either horizontally or vertically and not bother with thumbnail? would cut down on download time and filespace).
Also is it possible to reference each pic to each article? so that the image can appear within the Recent Entries column along with the article’s title?
