Fossils have always been cool.

#FridayFive: On Paleontology

When I was a little kid there was nothing I wanted to do more than dig for fossils. Long before Jurassic Park — or even Indiana Jones — I was fascinated with paleontology. I had dozens of books about dinosaurs and would regale my family with stories about expeditions in Montana and rattle off the Latin names of the terrible lizards. This was back before they’d even discovered Velociraptors yet, mind you.

My favorite dinosaurs have always been:

  • Tyrannosaurus Rex
  • Brontosaurus
  • Stegosaurus
  • Triceratops
  • Archaeopteryx

A few years ago I was trying to determine what cocktails I could make with the alcohol I had at home. I searched the App Store but couldn't find an app that would let me do that, so I built one.
