I finally broke down and got an AIM account: GatorDVG For some reason I cannot send eMail from my davidgagne.net account. I can receive eMail with no problem. If it takes me longer than you would expect to reply, that is the reason. Hopefully the problem is temporary and will resolve itself soon. <knocks on

I hate that damn one-button Mac mouse, though. I’ll never get comfortable with it. Let’s just allow MS to do whatever

Sometimes I think they are just trying to confuse people. Could they have possibly made the Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 3 Download instructions any more confusing? Actually it’s only step 4 that bugs me.
Excellent Error Message
Jason received this error message from one of the NT Servers at work: While validating that COM3 was really a serial port, the contents of the divisor latch register was identical to the interrupt enable and the receive registers. The device is assumed not to be a serial port and will be deleted.
Excellent Freeware
Two programs that you *need* on your computer: EditPad is an excellent replacement for notepad. I use it for all my webbing, and have (exclusively) since ’94 or so … URLMenu sits in your system tray and gives you easy access to all your bookmarks. It’s skinnable and has several other cool features. A must
